Boston Police (BPD) will be directing traffic throughout the day in order to keep vehicles moving and prevent streets from being blocked. Certain streets will temporarily be made one-way for the day – see map.
Parking will be restricted to ONE hour. Volunteers will be issuing parking permits as space is available on each street. Once you unload, you will need to move your vehicle to an overflow parking lot – see map. Avoid bringing large trucks. If you are moving out of your apartment, you will have the same ONE hour limit to load and then move your vehicle. No non-resident vehicles will be permitted to stay parked on the streets during the day on September 1.
Strict enforcement of the ONE hour policy will be in effect. There will be a zero-tolerance policy for double-parking; violators may be ticketed/towed.
Information Table: located at the front entrance of Fitzgerald Park on St. Alphonsus Street from 8:30am-5pm. University Staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions, provide parking information and maps, and address move-in issues.
Trash: tenants moving out should have all of their trash out by Thursday, August 29th after 5pm for trash pickup on Friday, August 30th. There will also be trash pickup on September for those moving in. Use the Boston Trash App to set a reminder! Do not block any fire hydrants when you dispose of trash.
RedEye Service starts September 1st on campus. NUPD will provide rides home within 2 miles of campus. The van leaves every 20 minutes from Snell Library.
