Living off campus gives us the unique opportunity to get involved in our community and meet neighbors. The Community Ambassadors host events off campus, attend community meetings and gatherings to learn about their neighborhood, and can help you find some of your neighborhood’s hidden gems!
See some of our off campus events below and how you can get involved with us!
During the spring and fall we host between 8-10 clean ups in Mission Hill, Fenway and South End/Roxbury neighborhoods. CA’s meet up with students, hand out supplies, and lead the group through the streets to keep our community looking beautiful! After the 1 hour clean up, join your new friends and CAs for a light breakfast at a local coffee shop. Email [email protected]tern.edu to sign up for Breakfast Club!

The Northeastern Co-op Mentor program allows alumni and students from around the world to engage and expand their personal network. This program, developed by the Office of Alumni Relations and Off Campus Housing and Support Services, makes it easy for you to make a strong connection with a student in your city. Alumni mentors help co-op students navigate their careers and professional development, potentially transforming their co-op experience, while co-op students get the opportunity to gain valuable expertise and knowledge from alumni who are leaders in their fields. Students and alumni can leverage the robust, global Northeastern network to achieve what’s next.
The program is currently operating in the areas mentioned below, however its scope continues to grow.
- San Francisco
- Silicon Valley
- London, UK
- New York City
- Washington, D.C.

Community Garden and Neighborhood Clean-Ups
Northeastern students, led by Community Ambassadors, join neighbors in Mission Hill and Fenway. Residents join in on the clean up alongside students to prep community gardens, clean up residential properties, and lend a helping hand.

Off Campus Fest
Off Campus Fest is an event held to introduce students to their off campus neighborhoods. Fun games, raffles, prizes, and sample food from local vendors tell it all at this event. Don’t miss your chance to participate in a fun and informative event as you begin to learn more about your off campus neighborhood. Off Campus Fest will be held again on September 24th, 2020!
We partner with on and off campus organizations to host events for both students and non-student residents including Open Mic Nights, Paint and Sip, and more. Check out the upcoming community events at the Fenway Community Center and Northeastern Crossing!
Mission Hill Road Race
